This lecture will present an intriguing aspect of children’s thinking: the function of play narrative scenarios with peer and adult partners for children’s understandings of physical and social reality. In addition to insights about the role of objects in social interaction, this research provides information about opportunities and limitations of social interactions in educational settings
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Antonio Iannaccone is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. Dr. Iannaccone does research on cognitive development and education. Recent research projects focus on children’s argumentation practices and the role of materiality in sociocognitive interactions.
